Rob Martin, Managing Director, co-founded BrandSync in 1999 with his father David Martin (founder of The Martin Agency). Rob began his business career managing research and planning projects for regional and national companies in a broad range of industries at The Martin Agency, which has been named top advertising agency in the U.S. Rob previously served as Marketing Director for Westham Capital Partners supporting business development of acquisition targets and financing deals for the firm that served private equity groups. In 2009, Rob founded a microfinance organization (United Virginia) that delivers business planning and financing services to small startup enterprises across Virginia. Through BrandSync, Rob provides clients with a high quality service that combines an extensive network of resources and research-driven business development processes.  Rob previously served on the boards of The Venture Forum, the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc., Goochland Free Clinic and Family Service, and the Commonwealth Autism Service.  He currently participates in the White House Office of Public Engagement’s Community Leaders program and the Executive Leadership Council of the Virginia Cooperative Extension Richmond Office. Rob received a Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a B.A. from Middlebury College.
