Intrinergy Names its Spin-Off "Enviva Materials"
Richmond, VA - March 3, 2006 - BrandSync has assisted Intrinergy, a renewable energy fund, in branding and naming its recycling company spin-off, "Enviva Materials." The separate brand identity will enable Intrinergy to maintain its current brand image, while Enviva Materials recycles waste materials as feed for its renewable energy plants.
BrandSync utilized its unique consensus-building process to build a branding platform in advance of the naming exercise. "It is quite an accomplishment that the six principles of Intrinergy were able to reach a unanimous decision in support the new name," said Rufus Phillips, Director of Business Development. "BrandSync was quite adept at focusing us on a smart brand strategy we all supported before we determined a name."
The new company name, Enviva Materials, reflects its brand position of transforming the recycling industry by keeping garbage and industrial by-products out of landfills and converting it to valuable and productive uses. Enviva Materials will transform wood, rubber and plastic into feed material for Intrinergy's gasification plants as well as other commercial uses. Its primary customer will be Intrinergy, but it will also serve other renewable energy companies as well as miscellaneous manufacturers and users of recycled materials (e.g. rubber pellets for artificial turf and playground equipment).
