Background:
Central Virginia Public Broadcasting and its several stations had no clear and compelling image. The company needed to raise millions to comply with a Federal mandate to convert from an analog to a digital broadcasting
signal.
Goals:
The goals were to discover a unifying identity and to establish a differentiating presence as a singular network of public broadcasting TV and radio stations.
Solution:
The brand study revealed that public broadcasting was valued as a trusted and objective community resource that provided viewers and listeners with ideas that inspire, enrich and educate. BrandSync developed the stations new name and visual identity as the "Community Idea Stations." Initiatives and programming have subsequently been developed to expand its voice as an electronic forum for exchanging community
ideas.
Outcome:
Donations have increased by double digits and the Community Idea Stations has established record image and awareness ratings.
